About Deal Detective
Second-hand marketplaces are full of good deals — and full of noise. Most tools that "monitor" listings for you stop at an alert: a notification that something matching your search exists. That leaves you to do the hard part yourself — figuring out whether it's actually worth buying.
Deal Detective sells confidence, not just alerts. Every listing that matches your saved search is analysed: we estimate what it's really worth, flag risks and missing information, and explain our reasoning in plain language — so you can make a faster, better-informed decision.
Why confidence matters
Buying second-hand always involves some uncertainty: is the price fair? Is the item as described? Is this seller trustworthy? Deal Detective doesn't remove that uncertainty entirely — nobody honestly can — but it gives you a structured, evidence-based starting point instead of a gut feeling, so you spend your time on the listings that are actually worth a closer look.
Where we're starting
We're launching with used golf equipment in Australia, starting on the Sunshine Coast and across Queensland. The underlying platform is built to expand into other categories — power tools, cameras, bicycles, drones, and more — over time.
A note on honesty
Our ratings and estimated values are estimates, built from the information available in a listing and comparable pricing data. They are not a guarantee of condition, authenticity, availability, or profit. We'll always tell you when confidence is low or information is missing, rather than pretend to certainty we don't have.
